Background Tritura

The background of the Tritura in connection with the September 30th movement was the PKI. After the September 30th movement, many mass organizations, especially students held large-scale demonstrations demanding the government a number of things.
These demands are usually referred to as Tritura (tri people's demands). One of the demands was the dissolution of the PKI related to the September 30 tragedy. But the government did not take firm action against the PKI. In addition, the economy has worsened, prices have skyrocketed, increasing public unrest.

On October 25, 1965, the Indonesian Student Action Unit (US) was formed. Then follow the other action units, for example, the Indonesian Student Youth Action Units (KAPPI), Indonesian Student Action Units (KAPI), Indonesian Workers Action Units (KABI), Indonesian Bachelor Action Units (KASI), Indonesian Women's Action Units (KAWI) ), and the Indonesian Teachers Action Unit (KAGI).

These organizations carried out large-scale protesters. However, the government did not take immediate action. On January 10, 1966, WE and KAPPI spearheaded the unity of action in the Pancasila Front to come to the DPR-GR demanding that it be three people. The following are the three demands of the people.
