1966 - Supersemar
The first president of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno, on March 11, 1966, gave a warrant to General Soeharto who served as Commander of the Command for Operation of Security and Order (Pangkopkamtib).

Through the letter, Suharto was ordered to take actions deemed necessary for ensuring security, order and the running of the government of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). The mandate is now known as the March Eleven Order (Supersemar).

1975 - Vietnam War
The Vietnam War, also called the Second Indochina War, was a war that took place between 1957 and 1975 in Vietnam. This war is part of the Cold War between two great ideological camps, namely the Communists and SEATO.

Two warring camps are the Republic of Vietnam (South Vietnam) and the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam). The United States, South Korea, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines (whose military assistance is by Taiwan and Spain) are allied with South Vietnam, while the Soviet Union, China, North Korea, Mongolia, and Cuba support communist ideology North Vietnam.

1978 - Birthday of Football Player Didier Drogba
Didier Yves Drogba Tébily was born in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on March 11, 1978. He is an Ivorian soccer player who plays as a striker for the Montreal Impact and the Ivory Coast national team.

Drogba is known for his ability to keep the ball, duel in the air, and physical strength. He is the Ivory Coast national team's top scorer of all time and ranks 4th highest scorer of Chelsea of ​​all time.

2004 - Bomb attack on Commuter Trains in Madrid
On March 11, 2004, there was a bomb explosion in the "State of Matador". The bomb attack took place on four Cercanías commuter trains in the City of Madrid, Spain.

In the explosion that reportedly there were 192 fatalities and 2,050 injured. This bomb explosion is claimed to be the worst terrorist attack in Europe after the Lockerbie incident on December 21, 1988.

In this attack, there were reportedly 13 bombs, 10 of which exploded. The victims came from many countries namely Spain, Romania, Cuba, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guinea Bissau, Honduras, Morocco, Peru, and Poland.

2011 - Tokyo-Japan Earthquake and Tsunami struck
The 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami was a powerful 9.0 magnitude earthquake which caused a tsunami wave as high as 10 meters.

This earthquake is 7 magnitudes based on the seismic intensity scale of the Japan Meteorological Agency in northern Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. Initial reports stated strength of 7.9, while the JMA tsunami warning mentioned 8.4, and finally 9.0.

The Japanese National Police Agency (JNPA) report stated that 15,269 were killed and 8,526 others missing in six prefectures.
