7 April Event: Mount Vesuvius Erupts, WHO Establishment and Birth Actor Jackie Chan
VARIOUS events have taken place on the face of the earth on April 7. From the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Naples, Italy in 1906, the World Health Organization (WHO) was founded by the United Nations, to the legendary action actor from China, Jacky Chan in 1954.

1906 - Mount Vesuvius erupts and destroys Naples
Mount Vesuvius is the only active volcano on mainland Europe located east of Naples, Italy. This mountain erupted in 79 until it destroyed the city of Pompeii.

After the de facto removal of Baath leader Saddam Hussein during the 2003 Iraq war, the government that occupied Iraq banned the Ba'ath Party in June 2003.
